Respite Service:

Carrington also provides short periods of respite care for people who are usually cared for at home by family and friends.

Three respite care beds are available in Parry House in our Nursing Home (high care) and four respite beds are available in our Hostels (low care).

Clients can access up to a total of 56 days of respite in a financial year.

An ACCR assessment is required. All prospective residents are required to be assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team before being accepted for respite accommodation. ACCRs provide a multidisciplinary assessment of the needs of aged people, in order to ensure the appropriate placement.
