Retirement (Lifestyle) Accommodation


A range of modern designs and prices are available in the village, all purpose built to enable residents to live independently in the context of a caring, social and safe environment. Residents have access to a 24-hour call system for emergencies and a wide range of facilities, activities and Care Services if required.

Standard fittings in units include telephone and television connections, lights, window screens, security front doors, handrails in bathrooms, and washing machines and dryers in units with separate laundries. Hard-wired smoke detectors are also in every unit.

Units 1-58

These are the older units of the village. 58 units in total, they comprise 36 one-bedroom units and 22 two-bedroom units. These units do not have separate private laundries, however washing machines are provided in the bathrooms. No garages are attached, but carports can be acquired separately. Drying courts are also shared.

We have 8 "bed-sitter" units located close to the Mary Mackillop Hostel.They contain a small kitchenette/lounge area, bedroom and ensuite, shared laundry with a washing machine and dryer, and drying court. They include small front and back patios and a garden.

Units 63-130

This section of the village consists of 56 two bedroom units and 12 one bedroom units.The two bedroom units have an underoof garage and the single bedroom units have an allocated carport.All units have a private drying court attached and are supplied with a washing machine and clothes dryer.These units were constructed between 1994-1997.

An additional 60 units were completed in 2002.This section is built on two levels,and comprises two and three bedrooms with underoof garage.Each has a laundry and private drying court and are supplied with a washing Machine and clothes dryer.

Additionally, these units are furnished with fan-forced ovens, security screens and smoke detectors. Most units have automatic garage-door openers and air conditioning. Units on the upper level also have a storeroom at the rear of the garage.

Grasmere Units

Apartments: Lakeview and Hillside

Carrington's Grasmere Units were completed for occupation in February 2010. The seventy units in this section are made up of thirty-four villas, three bedroom with double and single garages, two bedroom and study with single garage and thirty-six apartments in two blocks of eighteen units on three levels which consist of three bedroom or two bedroom plus study and secure parking.

All seventy units are designed with independence, security and comfort in mind. Accessibility is important with features such as low storage and custom designed appliance controls for ease of use. Each of the apartments has a spacious balcony and lift access.

All of the units and apartments are complete with ensuite, air-conditioning, fitted carpet, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and dryer.
