Monthly Maintenance Fees
Monthly maintenance fees are designed to cover building and grounds maintenance, water usage, building insurance and use of Carrington's facilities.
As at 1 July 2010 these monthly fees are as follows:-
Bedsitter Unit - $267.90
Single Person - $352.15
Couples - $490.20
Financial/Legal Arrangements
The entry contribution is refunded to you (or transferred to other accommodation at Carrington) less the non-refundable departure fees. A Residence Contract is completed with the Carrington Centennial Care Ltd, which owns and operates the Village. Carrington Centennial Care is a non-profit charitable organisation that has been operating for more than 100 years. Terms and Conditions Once a prospective resident has been formally offered a Unit:
- The client will be asked in writing to pay a 10% deposit on the full price of the unit, with a minimum of $5,000 or maximum of $10,000.
- If the prospective resident can demonstrate financial hardship, a lesser amount will be accepted upon approval from the CEO.
- The deposit will be fully refunded, within seven days, if the client changes his/her mind about occupying the unit, or they cannot find the money to pay for the unit.
- The deposit secures the unit, and it is not made available to any other prospective resident for a period of three months from receipt of deposit.
- An extension of the three months time limit may only be granted, on the recommendation of the Village Manager, and approval of the CEO.
Disclosure Statement This statement is required to be given to all prospective residents under the Retirement Villages Act 1999.
